December 2009 Puzzle Solution
Various different solution paths exist, but here's one:

1. Rows 1-5 all have dots in them, and there must be a row with 0 dots, so row 6 is empty.

2. Similarly, all of the green boxes have dots in them except for the one in the upper right corner, so it must be empty.

3. By the same logic, either column 5 or column 6 must be empty. However, if column 5 is empty, it is impossible to form a valid Braille letter in either of the two right yellow boxes, since no Braille letters consist only of right-column dots. The only other option would be for both boxes to be blank, but then both column 5 and column 6 would be empty, and so they would have the same number of dots (0), which is not allowed. So column 6 is empty.

4. The upper right yellow box cannot contain a valid Braille letter; it must be blank. So the third row, fifth column cell must be empty.

5. The upper middle yellow box must contain a dot in its upper left corner to form a valid Braille letter, so the first row, third column cell must have a dot. The same is true of the lower right yellow box, which, as stated before, cannot be blank. So the fourth row, fifth column cell must have a dot.

6. One of the rows must contain exactly one dot, and this can only be row 3, since all of the others (except for the blank row 6) already contain at least two dots. So the rest of that row can be blanked out.

7. The lower right green box must contain either one or two dots, but the center right green box already contains exactly two dots, so the lower right green box must contain one. We already have one, so blank out the row 5, column 5 cell.

8. The green boxes on the right contain zero, two, and one dots; the green boxes on the left must contain three, four, and five dots, in some order. The upper left green box already has five, so the remaining cell (row 1, column 2) is blank. The only way for the remaining green boxes to contain four and three dots is to fill the remaining unknown spaces in completely with dots.

9. In the yellow boxes, we have: R, B, blank, G, G, A. The hitherto-unused yellow arrows indicate that we should read these letters right-to-left. This gives blank, B, R, A, G, G - a shoutout to frequent leaderboarder Rich BRAGG.
